Babysitting clinic to be held
A baby sitting clinic will be held Tuesday, May 20 from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. at the Community Meeting room in Cambridge. Boys and girls in fourth, fifth and sixth grade are invited to attend. Cost is $3.00. Youth will participate in sessions focusing on preparing snacks, “child-proofing” a home, role playing, first-aid and safety situations, planning play activities for young children and selecting toys appropriate for different ages of children. The class will be taught by Carol Anderson and Lynette Brown, Extension Assistants with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension in Furnas and Harlan Counties. Please pre-register by calling the Extension Office at 308-268- 3105 by Thursday, May 15.

TUESDAY – roast pork, mashed potatoes-gravy, coleslaw, peaches, wheat bread.
WEDNESDAY – fried chicken, mashed potatoes-gravy, corn, mandarin orange salad, poke cake, wheat bread.
THURSDAY – chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes-gravy, beets, jello with fruit, cherry pudding dessert, wheat bread.
FRIDAY – pizza, Rodeo salad, applesauce.

WEDNESDAY – 4th Grade Menu Breakfast – sausage links. Lunch – turkey deli sandwich, creamed corn, fruit roll-ups, ice cream.
THURSDAY – 6th Grade Menu Breakfast – crazy 8’s. Lunch – pizza, corn/mashed potatoes, mandarin oranges and chocolate cake.

Senior Center News The Sunday Roast Beef Dinner will be on May 4 with serving from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M.

The April Birthday Dinner will be on Wednesday, April 30, at noon. Please call 697-4889 to make your reservations before 9:30 A.M.

The winners at the April 25 Card Party were: in Pinochle – Wanda White and Clara Heumphreus and in Pitch – Jason Kelly and Roberta Williams. Door prize winners were Patsy Kelly and Merwyn Burton. The door prizes were donated by Gloria Biesecker.
